Thiagi's expertise with games etc.
At seven years of age while playing checkers with his uncle,
Thiagi often lost. One day the boy realized that if he could get his
uncle, the more skillful player, to agree to a small change in the
rules, he could even out the odds and maybe win the game. In that
moment, Thiagi made two paradigm shifts: his perspective changed from
that of a game player to a game designer and he realized that rules
were made to be changed.
With hundreds of game-related articles and activities to his
credit, Thiagi has been the president of the North American
Simulation and Gaming Association. Through his writing, workshops,
and consulting activities, he helps professionals in organizations
all over the world to create, use, and modify games to meet their
needs.
